Hi Brian, Currently ArcPad supports tiled map services only in Web Mercator. Check out the following blog article on the best way to get started. http://arcpadteam.blogspot.com.au/2010/07/basemap-image-tiles-for-arcpad-10.html Cheers, Gareth

Hi, I would think you have a couple of options to try and solve this. You could: Select the existing line that you have driven down, copy the line and use "split" it at the designated point. There is an applet available with ArcPad that shows how to use the Split functionality. Create a new feature "in memory" or a graphic layer. Select the start point, drive down the road and then every time you drive passed a vertex of the existing line copy it to your new line. i hope this helps. Let me know if you need any other information. Cheers, Gareth

Hi Livika, My apologies my script was empty when I uploaded it. Here is the complete file, hopefully 😄 The AXF can store the scripting exactly the same as the applet, that is one of the great things about ArcPad. If you open your AXF in Studio, open the layer definition you want to edit (you will see the form in the tree structure), then click on the script button. This will create a script file inside your AXF and you can copy and paste my script straight into the new file. You will then have to open your Edit form and and the routine to onSelChange event. Change the field names in the script if necessary and you should be good to go. Let me know how you go. Cheers, Gareth

Hi Olivia, I have attached an applet sample for you to have a look at. I have placed the three controls and written a quick script to do the interaction. You will see that I use the onSelChange event to execute the script. Also I have shown two methods for you to choose from. The first is the if/else statement you asked about and the second is using the Select Case statement. You may find that the select case statement scales better if you have to add extra values to your combo box and is perhaps more logically written. I hope this helps, if so please mark as answered, if not look forward to hearing from you. Good luck Gareth

Perhaps you could try reinstalling the SQL CE cab file on the device. If that is not installed ArcPad can't read the AXF contents. The cab can be found in the ArcPad installation folder e.g. arcpad10.0\sqlce\wince5-pocketpcGood luck,Gareth

Hi James, Yes you can do that. There are several methods you could apply. Perhaps first I should suggest a couple of workflows rather than jump straight into it. So you want to have a relationship between the two featureclasses? I would you suggest you could select the building polygon to get its ID. Then collect all the points you need. Each time you collect a point the building ID is automatically referenced to it. It will depend on how you want to store the data but it sounds like you are going to need to make an applet with potentially a couple of tools. Let me know if I have understood your proposal. Cheers, Gareth

Hi Andrew, Ivan is correct. Remove the script tag and replace with: Sub MyTest . .Your code here . End Sub Also the onclick event should read Call MyTest rather than Call "Vbtest.vbs". The entire vbs file can contain lots of routines and you only want to call one at the onclick event. Good luck. Gareth

Perhaps you need to investigate onPoz Driver for ArcPad http://www.junipersys.com/Juniper-Systems/products/Software/OnPOZ http://effigis.com/produits/onpoz-produits-gnss/logiciels/gnss-driver-pour-arcpad but I can't find a download for it. ArcPad will just consume the feed once the device is set up. With Trimble devices you need to use GPS Controller. I have not done this myself, so hopefully a friendly Juniper salesperson or user is looking. Other Juniper devices need an expansion pack to achieve this such as the Tk6000. I hope this helps. Cheers, Gareth

Hi Jim, My thoughts are that the templates were thought of as self contained projects, whereas the QuickProject allows for a set of customisable data to be created in the field. However, we will raise an enhancement request so it is on the list, but its a long list 🙂 Thanks for you thoughts. Cheers, Gareth

The best place to chat about this is on the IDEAS Portal. People have already asked for ArcPad to be on Windows Phone 7.0+. Vote on each one to make sure you are getting their attention. https://c.na1.visual.force.com/apex/ideaView?id=08730000000bsTI&returnUrl=%2Fapex%2FideaList%3Fc%3D09a300000004xET%26category%3DMobile%2BGIS https://c.na1.visual.force.com/apex/ideaView?id=08730000000boHh&returnUrl=%2Fapex%2FideaList%3Fc%3D09a300000004xET%26category%3DMobile%2BGIS https://c.na1.visual.force.com/apex/ideaView?id=08730000000873l&returnUrl=%2Fapex%2FideaList%3Fc%3D09a300000004xET%26category%3DMobile%2BGIS%26p%3D2

Hi Bill, Is it possible that you can use the Repeat attributes button? Just wondering if you could achieve this without any code, and make some potential changes to the mxd. If you set the layer symbology in ArcMap to be a unique value based on the text field you will get a seperate icon on the quick capture for the four different types. When you click on the quickcapture icon it will already populate the text box with the correct value. If that is the only thing you are doing on the form, you could also press the repeat attributes button and go to the table of contents and for the layer un-tick the form check box (if it doesn't have required fields). This way you will be collecting the data without the form popping up. Now I know that was a side step but just wanted to float the idea. If you stick to code you can change set the value to an application.userproperties() value. This will set a global variable that you can call again after you open the form of a new/existing feature. Application.UserProperties("DefaultValue") = Application.Map.Layers("ESCP").Forms("EDITFORM").Pages("FeatureType").Controls objFrmCtls("Other").Value = "Wetland" Let us know how you go. Cheers, Gareth

Hi Steve, I doubt that this was either by intentional design or a bug. The biggest reason I know to use the Application.Messagebox is that it will work on any platform or scripting language rather than msgbox for vbScript and MessageBox() for jScript. Cheers, Gareth

Hi, If your index vector layer is a grid then you could do something like use the center point of the map (or the GPS position)to see which cell it is inside of at that time using FindNearestXY. Check to see if you have the raster loaded already, and if not then load it from the card. Perhaps remove any other rasters that have been added previously. If you need some help with the code just let us know. Cheers, Gareth
