Hi Jean-Daniel With "As soon as we were able to solve the problem" i was referring to your issue. So next step would be that you provide us with more information on the configuration of your sophos installation. We recommend to share this info not in this thread but directly via email. Please provide an email address where we can contact you directly. thank you Christian

Dear Mac Users A few weeks ago Apple released mac OS Catalina. We would like to remind you, that CityEngine 2019.1 is not supported on Catalina at the moment. Catalina support is planned for 2020.0. CityEngine 2019.1 system requirements—Esri CityEngine | Documentation Reason for this message is a feedback from a user who upgraded and ran into problems with dashboards using CE 2019.0 and 2019.1. Have a good day. Christian

Hi Simon The graph engine only creates blocks based on segments that are connected to each other. Therefore what you describe is expected. So far we consider your case as very rare, therefore we dont cover it. What is your exact use case? This might help to better understand the problem and to prioritise the issue. As soon as you connect the inner with the outer circle (make sure the two loops are in the same layer) the block generation is 90% what you look for. you could then convert to static shapes and manually improve the result.

Hi Mark A colleague of mine had a look at this. At the moment it is unclear to us whether this is a problem on the CE or the proxy side. Next step would be that I connect you to my colleague as he needs more information about the config of sophos. In case you want to proceed with this, please provide an email address where we can contact you directly. As soon as we were able to solve the problem (or identify it as a third party issue) we will provide an anonymised summary here on geonet. Thank you Chris

Hi Its unclear to me how you imported your data. If not done yet try get map data in CityEngine. You can download streets, footprints and terrain all at once. Use an new and empty scene for this. If you prefer to use your own data try to add it in a second step.

Hi Nelson Pls find attached a python module that should solve your problem. Copy the .py file into the script folder of your project. In order to make it work you need to replace "myAttr" with the attributes name you want to use. Save it afterwards. Select the shapes you want to rename only. With the python script open in the editor go to Python -> Run the selected shapes should now be renamed. Note: this script is intended to work exactly for this case. it doesn't handle edge cases such as attribute does not exist, etc.

Hi CE has no dedicated functionality to split up your imported obj into separate buildings. still: - you might try to convert the imported model into shapes, select those belonging to one building and combine it. - you can export an obj per building and then import all of them in CE. - you can export the terrain from CE, import it into SketchUp and do the alignment there. A typical use case for obj import would be importing one (hero) building into CityEngine. CityEngine (i.e. CGA) is perfect to create the mass models that you are showing in the screen shot. Additionally also from our side: Thanks for your feedback. The forum is very important to us, and we put more resources to it. Have a nice weekend Christian

Hi Generally speaking small extents have a higher resolution for both elevation and imagery than large extents due to the maximum size allowed for images. The max size is chosen a bit restrictively because we want to make sure that people dont end up with unresponsive scenes after a map data download. Currently we are discussing whether we can raise the limit a bit. What many users do is download a large extent for the surroundings and a small extent that covers the actual study area. In order to prevent intersecting terrains add a negative elevation offset to the large terrain. hope this helps Chris
