I have been using the proxy setup described by Robert Scheitlin here: Internal ONLY Web Map Sharing Issues to get around AGOL logins for an internal-only, locally-hosted WAB Dev app that calls an AGOL Web Map. I used username and password authentication. The referenced Web Map is shared with my organization, and is not publicly available. When I updated the app to WAB Dev 2.4, the proxy setup no longer works, and all I get is a blank (white) browser screen. App config.json: "httpProxy":{ "useProxy":true, "alwaysUseProxy":false, "url":"/DotNet/proxy.ashx", "rules":[{ "urlPrefix": "http://myorg.maps.arcgis.com/", "proxyUrl": "/DotNet/proxy.ashx" }] }, proxy.config: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <ProxyConfig allowedReferers="*" mustMatch="true"> <serverUrls> <serverUrl url="http://myorg.maps.arcgis.com" username="username" password="password" matchAll="true"/> <serverUrl url="http://services.arcgisonline.com" matchAll="true"/> <serverUrl url="http://myinternalserver" matchAll="true"/> </serverUrls> </ProxyConfig> <!-- See https://github.com/Esri/resource-proxy for more information --> Does anyone know how I can get the proxy working again? The proxy is still working for my WD 2.3 apps on the same server. I'm running ArcGIS Server 10.5.

Yes, version 2.2 of the LL widget works fine for me in WAB Dev 2.3 and 2.4 apps.

Hi Robert, For some reason, this proxy method no longer works for a local WAB Dev 2.4 app which calls an AGOL WebMap. I now get just a blank (white) page in the browser. Any ideas? Cheers, Barnaby

You could try setting up an AGOL Web Map as a test, adding layers by entering service REST URLs from your servers... I would recommend trying it. It works great for me.

Hi Kade, Have you tried making an AGOL Web Map and making a WAB viewer which calls that Map and doesn't use LL widget? I do not fully understand what you are trying to do. Are you making daily changes to mxd and constantly republishing it? If so, I think you will have to update the deployed viewer with the modified LL widget config to get the layers to display in the TOC correctly. Cheers, Barnaby

There is a new Server 10.5 patch today: Esri Support 10.5 This patch release is the opposite of that for the Layer Definition Query patch mentioned in post above, as the patch is shown on the main esri Server 10.5 patch page, but NOT in the ArcGIS Enterprise Patch Notification program on my server. Something is odd and inconsistent in the way esri releases Server patches. It has been this way for last several Server versions. IMO, it would be best to have all patches available from the same web location.

This new patch for Server 10.5: ArcGIS Server 10.5 Layer Definition Query Patch is not shown on the main support page for ArcGIS Server 10.5: Esri Support 10.5 Is there a reason for this, or will the latter page eventually be updated to show the new patch? Note that the new patch does appear normally in the "Check for Updates" program (ArcGIS Enterprise Patch Notification) associated with ArcGIS Server 10.5 (that's how I found the patch).

Hi Adam, First test of beta widget in WD 2.3 app looks good, no issues so far. Could the Layer Name area in the Edit Dynamic Layer dialog be made bigger, and/or could the dialog be resizeable?

Hi Robert, Using new test code, I'm also finding a situation where the ID widget is not reporting results for sublayers which are in-scale and visible in the app. ID widget will not show results for the four visible sub-layers highlighted in the image below. Keep in mind that I did not modify the existing ID widget config.

I don't see an appreciable difference in performance between an app that calls an AGOL Web Map (default esri WAB design/intention) versus an app that uses LL widget. This is good, as it means LL widget is well-designed and is doing its job efficiently.

A clarification of the above: Results are being reported for sublayers that are turned off in the app when the overlying base layer (service) is turned on. If a base layer (service) is turned on, ID widget results are being reported for all underlying sublayers, even if those sublayers are turned off. Added note: I have only tested new ID widget code in an app that uses LocalLayer widget.

My general impression is that Flex viewer loads faster than WAB given same layers. But Flex does not have anywhere near the capabilities of WAB, especially with Attribute Table widget.

It seems now that ID widget results are being reported for every sublayer in ESRI 2016 Geographic Data even if they are not turned on in Layer List - some are on but overlying group layer is turned off so they are not displayed in app. Results are also being reported for layers in other services (layers) that are turned off in the app. But, I think that the visible scale issue has been resolved. ID results are not shown for "out-of-scale" layers. More testing needed, though, as so many results are returned given the above issue that it is hard to tell clearly if the scale issue has been fixed or not.
