I'm having the exact same problem. Things I've tried with no success: Deleting the service and re-publishing Deleting the domain and recreating Changing the "Max Number of Coded Domains" value on the service to a higher number Adding another field and domain and publishing Would love to hear if someone figures this out.

We have a weird issue where some services will be in a "stopping" state that occurs sometime overnight. We usually just stop and start the service from the Server Admin page. But, has anyone else had this occur? We'd like to not have it happening!

I have been working on a project were I am looping through rows of data and importing them into a geodatabase. While some of the data had coordinates, some didn't, but did have a street address. With that, I needed to quickly geocode a single address while looping through the records. Along with my coworker @TomSellsted we created a python function to do just this. As a disclaimer, it requires the 'requests' library that is in the ArcGIS Pro and 10.6 install. Let me know how it works for you!

Do you happen to have a python script to do this? It's something I'm super interested in.

We are currently migrating from a standalone ArcGIS Server to the ArcGIS Enterprise environment. We have portal up and running and our ArcGIS Server federated. It has traditional ArcGIS Enterprise GeoDatabase on it. We want to add a hosting server to portal. This is where the problem arises. As of 10.6.1, enterprise geodatabases are not supported as hosting servers, per this page: Configure a hosting server—Portal for ArcGIS (10.6) | ArcGIS Enterprise "A hosting server's managed database must be configured with ArcGIS Data Store as a relational and tile cache data store. An enterprise geodatabase can still be registered as an additional data store to an ArcGIS GIS Server site." It looks like there is a path for migrating on this page: Change the managed database to an ArcGIS Data Store relational data store—Portal for ArcGIS (10.6) | ArcGIS Enterprise We have reviewed the page for the process to migrate, and would like to use option 2, but SLOWLY. We can migrate all our services to the new data store, but we really can't do that overnight. There are a lot of services and a lot of apps, and we don't have the staff to do that quickly. So my question, on the ArcGIS Server can I have my Enterprise GeoDatabase and the new Data Stores and have them happily live side by side?

We recently installed the GeoEvent Server (10.5.1 - Patch 1) on a new server in our environment. I added our existing GIS Server (10.5.1) as a data store in the GeoEvent Manager using a token. When I "Publish a Stream Service" everything appears to work correctly, but no service shows up on our GIS Server. We can publish a stream service to the GIS Server on the same machine as the GeoEvent Server (the default data store). But we'd like to keep all our public services on the same server. Help?

We currently have ArcGIS 10.4.1 Server on a standalone server, with a web adapter in our DMZ. We are looking at upgrading to 10.5 and adding Portal as well as the GeoEvent server. I made a quick diagram of how we intend to set this up. This is with portal and server running on the same server, and two web adapters on one server, and the GeoEvent server also living in the DMZ. We're a fairly small shop, so there won't be a ton of action on any of the servers. Is this the correct way to set this up?

I'm having trouble with a complex definitionExpression in a sublayer of my MapImageLayer (JSAPI 4.2). When I do the same query from the REST service directory, it works perfectly. More or less, I want a date range and either of two other field values to be 1. What happens is that the points are all shown, but only the ones that match the query have a popup... it's really neat. Here's my code var layer = new MapImageLayer({
url: "https://gis.yakimawa.gov/arcgis101/rest/services/CouncilDistricts/ElementarySchoolSidewalksAnalysis/MapServer",
sublayers: [
{
id: 4,
visible: true,
definitionExpression: "Type = 1",
popupTemplate: template
}, {
id: 3,
visible: true
}, {
id: 2,
visible: true,
popupTemplate: streetTemplate
},{
id: 1,
visible: true,
popupTemplate: streetTemplate
}, {
id: 0,
visible: false,
definitionExpression: "(Collision_Date <= date '2016-12-31 23:59:59' AND Collision_Date >= date '2014-01-01 00:00:00') AND (Number_of_Pedestrians_Involved > 0 OR Number_of_Pedalcyclists_Involve > 0)",
popupTemplate: collisionTemplate
}]

When working on a recent project, I ran across the need to use Coded Domain Values in an InfoTemplate. This is my solution, derived from Search Widget and InfoTemplate, Domains, Subtypes var subTypeVal;
getSubtypeDomain = function (fieldVal, fieldName){
if (featureLayer.typeIdField!=null) {
//console.log("Have Subtypes");
if (fieldName==featureLayer.typeIdField) {
array.forEach(featureLayer.types, lang.hitch(this, function (lsf) {
if (fieldVal==lsf.id){
fieldVal=lsf.name;
subTypeVal=lsf.id;
}
}));
} else {
array.forEach(featureLayer.types, lang.hitch(this, function (lsf) {
if (lsf.id==subTypeVal){
array.forEach(lsf.domains[fieldName].codedValues, lang.hitch(this, function (domain) {
if (fieldVal==domain.code){
fieldVal=domain.name;
}
}));
}
}));
}
} else {
//console.log("No Subtypes");
subTypeVal=null;
array.forEach(featureLayer.fields, lang.hitch(this, function (ldf) {
if (ldf.name==fieldName){
if (ldf.domain){
array.forEach(ldf.domain.codedValues, lang.hitch(this, function(domain){
if (fieldVal==domain.code){
fieldVal=domain.name;
}
}));
}
}
}));
}
return fieldVal;
};
var infoContent = "<strong>Attribute</strong>: ${Attribute:getSubtypeDomain}";
var infoTemplate = new InfoTemplate("Title", infoContent);
var featureLayer = new FeatureLayer("//you/services/url",{
infoTemplate: infoTemplate,
outFields: ["*"]
});

Here's how I solved the problem of needing a fall back for when/if the CDN goes down. Download the JS from SDK Downloads | ArcGIS for Developers and follow the setup instructions. For the sake of this tutorial, I have placed the 3.16 files at /js/3.16/ on my webserver Place these two lines of code in place of the normal js include <script src="https://js.arcgis.com/3.16/"></script>
<script> window.dojo || document.write('<script src="/js/3.16/init.js">\x3C/script>');</script> It check to see if dojo has been loaded, which is essentially seeing if the js library has been loaded. If not, it loads the local version.

It looks like it was a misplaced section of code that was creating a new FeatureLayer object for every edit, rather than just once when the page is loaded. Time will tell, but I'm fairly sure this was it.
