I have published a feature service with attachments (pdf documents).However,i do not see the option enable attachments on the layer item details page. I can see the attachments as links in the pop-up but the attachment fails to load. I checked the size of the pdf 's and they are well under 2000 KB. Can anybody guide me to help resolve this issue .

Hello, We are trying to accomplish the exact same thing on 10.5 and received the same reply from Esri . Its surprising that they haven't tried to address the issue even after 3 releases. I'm curious to know what workaround strategies you have approached in this context . Thanks bhanu

With great help from the GeoNet community ,I was able to get the Public Notification Widget from WAB developer edition into our organizations portal (version 10.5.1). The problem I'm encountering now is that the even after setting up the Addressee layer and notification options to pdf and csv for the widget. the widget becomes non responsive and won't generate any labels. seeking advice and guidance from folks that may have successfully accomplished this. Thank you Bhanu

Hello Robert, I still have a small hiccup with bringing in the custom widget.I was able to deploy the widget and I see the widget under the custom tab in the widget pool. However,I'm unable to configure the widget by adding a feature layer as a search source. Geometry utility services is running and have the rest services url for it. Is there an additional step that I'm missing to add the url in the code ? Thanks for any guidance

Hello Robert, I have downloaded the WAB developer edition and copied the public notification widget folder into the C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\apps\webappbuilder\stemapp\widgets folder. I'm following the instructions on this page Add custom widgets—Portal for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Enterprise ,but I'm stuck on this step Deploy the custom widget to your web server. You can copy the custom widget folder to your web server (Is there path location ?). After deployment, you need to obtain the URL path to the manifest file of your custom widget. An example of a URL path to a manifest file is <server.domain.com>/<my widget>/manifest.json. How can you get this url .I'm new to portal any help to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated

Hello Rebecca, Thanks for the heads up to post code with formatting. I have figured it out each user has named the connection to the database differently and added if else statements to eliminate the unexpected error msg. Thanks

Hello Im trying to solve a similar problem .. We have moved from multiple sde databases to one single database I'm trying replace database connections in an existing mxd with connection name rather than having paths based on users. and then replace the database connection to the new sde database connection. I'm looking to accomplish this in a two step approach by using find and replace workspace paths first and replace Datasource later. I have figured the later part but this is where I'm stuck and manually replacing the paths for each mxd using the set datasource option on arccatalog. C:\Users\jdoe\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\Desktop10.2\ArcCatalog\gis.sde C:\Users\djohn\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\Desktop10.2\ArcCatalog\gis.sde import arcpy,os
from arcpy import env
env.overwriteOutput = True
mxd = arcpy.mapping.MapDocument("CURRENT")
for lyr in arcpy.mapping.ListLayers(mxd):
if lyr.supports("WORKSPACEPATH"):
print lyr.workspacePath
lyr.findAndReplaceWorkspacePath(lyr.workspacePath,"Database Connections\\gis.sde","TRUE")
print lyr.dataSource This is the error that i get File "c:\program files (x86)\arcgis\desktop10.4\arcpy\arcpy\_mapping.py", line 696, in findAndReplaceWorkspacePath return convertArcObjectToPythonObject(self._arc_object.findAndReplaceWorkspacePath(*gp_fixargs((find_workspace_path, replace_workspace_path, validate), True))) ValueError: Layer: Unexpected error Any direction on how to resolve this will be appreciated. Thanks
