Oh, I think I understand. You essentially want anonymous access enabled on your Portal so everyone on your intranet can access Portal, even without an account. But you want to prevent people on the outside internet from being able to access it (even though it's already locked down behind your firewall) in the event it does become publicly accessible. I think what I'm confused with is how your Portal is locked down to your intranet only, but I'm not sure how your hosted services are still publicly accessible. To answer your last question, adding an item in Portal will create a service in your hosted folder if you're creating a hosted feature service from it. For example, if you upload a FGDB and then create a hosted feature service from that FGDB, then it will create a service in your hosted folder. That workflow isn't much different than using Pro to publish a hosted service. At the end of the day, it gives you the same result. But if you upload data without creating a hosted feature service from it, then it won't be stored in the hosted folder.

Do you have anonymous access disabled on your Portal? If it is disabled, then that means no one will be able to access your items on Portal without having to sign in first. So if you have that disabled, then I think that would answer both of your questions. Edit: I can't tell from your question if you need content on your Portal to be publicly accessible. If you do not, then I'd recommend disabling anonymous access which should resolve both your questions.

Oh no, I apologize. It appears this only applies to MS SQL Server EGDBs, at least according to the what's new documentation and this documentation. I thought it applied to all DBs. I'm not 100% sure if it's possible to rename a PostgreSQL EGDB or not. But this functionality was released in Pro 3.0 and Enterprise 11.x. RyanUthoff_1-1753807183907.png

EGDB upgrade issues are very hard to troubleshoot in my experience. I personally do not know how to resolve that specific error message, but I'll comment and say that we've had to migrate to new EGDBs in the past to get around upgrade errors. One workflow is create a new EGDB at the 11.3 version and then copy all your data from your old EGDB to it. Then delete the old EGDB and rename the new EGDB to the same name as the old EGDB. Luckily with 11.3 EGDBs, Esri now allows you to rename them without it breaking the DB. Edit: I apologize, it appears that you might be only to rename EGDBs that are MS SQL Server DBs. Not sure about PostgreSQL.

In an ArcGIS Online web map, you can see if they're on top of each by clicking on one of the points. In the pop-up, you will see arrow icons where you're able to switch to view the attributes of other records. So in the case of my example screenshot below, there are two records on top of each other. And you're able to change the pop-up to view the attributes of the other records on top of each other by clicking the arrow button. RyanUthoff_0-1753542786898.png

Actually, yes, that will work. Just download the data as a csv, and then upload the csv to AGOL. From there, you'll get to a page that looks like this: RyanUthoff_0-1753453324197.png You can modify that as necessary. And then when you click next, you'll get to this page where you can specify the lat/lon from the columns in the spreadsheet. RyanUthoff_1-1753453399575.png After you do that, it should create a new layer in AGOL with the spatial locations of all the records.

I love this idea! And in the meantime, I will be using this post to track some of the issues in preparation for our 11.5 upgrade. Also, related to your comment about bug statuses. I don't quite understand how a bug that is "non-reproducible" ends up being "resolved" in an upcoming release. How can a non-reproducible bug be resolved if it didn't appear to be an issue (from Esri's side) in the first place? RyanUthoff_0-1753452651761.png

Do you have access to ArcGIS Pro? Like I said in my post above, that's the only way I know of generate the points based off the lat/lon columns. I'm not sure if it's possible to do it directly in AGOL.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. I found the traffic accidents dataset on their website and downloaded it as a geojson and brought it into ArcGIS Pro and I see the same thing as you. But, what's actually happening is that all the points are on top of each other so it only appears as if there a couple records. But in reality, all the records are there, they are just on top of each other. Luckily, there are latitude and longitude fields in the attribute table. So to get the "true" spatial data of those points, what you can do is create a new table with the spatial locations based off the values in the lat/lon fields. Edit: I'm not aware of a way to create a spatial table based off of lat/lon columns in AGOL. I only know how to do it in ArcGIS Pro.

Do you have a unique key between the two layers? Perhaps you could do a join by attribute between the two layers and transfer your attributes that way? Once you've done the join, you'd just use the calculate field tool to transfer the attributes. I don't think you'll be able to transfer the geometry that way though, so you'd need to transfer the attributes over to the layer that has the correct geometry.
