Hi everyone,
I am trying to model an Intelligent transport system, where a passenger (moving from point A to B) sends a request from his smartphone; the server searches the network for drivers moving along that route. It can also be the other way round where driver offers a ride, and the server scans for passenger(s). A match is found, both driver and passenger are notified; they meet and continue the journey.
The aim of the simulation is to determine the average waiting time between when a passenger sends a request, and a match is found; varying the number of drivers and passengers in the system.
I'm new to ArcGis, and I would be grateful if I can get pointers on how to go about this task.
