I need to be able to load and draw my traverse files simultaneously.  They are all saved as .txt files.  I have been able to load them into a plan (working with fabric) but I can't get them to draw all at one time.

Actually, I am not ready for the Parcel Fabric at this time.  I would prefer to just load them and draw them (but not one at a time!!!).  There are about a thousand...

thanks for any help...

Hi

You can import more than one traverse txt file at a time. See this help link:
http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#/Importing_traverse_files/001t0000012p0...

"To import more than one traverse file, hold the SHIFT key down and select the traverse files you want to import. When more than one traverse file is selected, parcels are imported as a parcel group"

Hope this helps

Yes, unfortunately the previous method mentioned only works with the Fabric.

Have you considered creating a separate line feature class to store your COGO information and geometry?  Not only can you store the COGO information in its attribute table but you can work with multiple ones at the same time.

Thank you.
I do have a separate feature class for my 'runouts'.  My co worker is telling me that there is a way to load all of the traverse files and draw them simultaneously using 'Python'.  Unfortunately, I am not a programmer...
