I can't seem to find anything online or in the Getting Started documentation about migrating from the ADM 10.0 to 10.1. Do I simply download and run the Esri Add-Ins again, or do I need to uninstall the 10.0 Add-Ins first? Simply removing them from the Add-Ins Manager does not remove the toolbars. Any suggestions for a clean upgrade?

Thanks,
James

OK, so I bit the bullet... It seems that if you reopen ArcMap, the toolbars disappear. So it looks like if you uninstall the 10.0 Add-Ins, close ArcMap, and run the 10.1 Add-Ins, that appears to work OK. I was able to add IDs used in the relationship classes for the address points and centerlines with the Attribute Assistant after that. Not sure about the AddressManagementConstructionToolsInstaller.msi, but you cannot run that again (looking for an uninstall option) if you have already upgraded to Desktop 10.1. if there is a better way or if your experience has been different, I would be interested to hear...

Thanks,

The cleanest way to upgrade is as follows:

1. Uninstall the add-ins (Add-in Manager) and construction tools (Control Panel>Programs) before you upgrade to ArcGIS 10.1.
2. Upgrade to ArcGIS 10.1
3. Install the AddressManagement and Attribute Assistant Add-ins for ArcGIS 10.1.  The construction tools are provided in the Add-in at the 10.1 release and there isn't a separate install for the construction tools now.

Hope this helps.
