Dear community,

I am a very basic ArcGIS user and was looking for some advice. I am currently working with a polygon file (~ 8km x 8 km polygons), originally generated with the fishnet tool, and that represents reef habitat units for The Caribbean. My goal is to sequentially split the polygons into smaller units, first into ~ 4km x 4km and latter into 2km x 2km. From reading online forums, I was directed to the Parcel Fabric application. By the time I figured out how to import my file into the fabric and how to split the polygons into smaller units of equal area, I realized that this application can only be used for one polygon at a time. The file I am working with has 800 + polygons. Is there any tool/way to do this for the entire dataset?

I guess one could use the fishnet tool again to generate smaller units, but given that the polygons are already a subset of the original file I was wondering if there is an easier way to just work with what I have instead of creating a new file.

Thanks in advance.

No...regenerating the fishnet(s) would be the fastest
