Hello, this is a question involving quality control.

I have two people separately digitizing land features within the same area. After they are done, I need to take their created polygons and highlight the differences between them. Then we will go through an iterative process to resolve the differences into a final product.

My question is: what function in ArcMap will display/calculate/whatever the differences between polygons? I understand that I would need to copy & paste one set onto another, but then what?

Two more options:

1. Run Geodatabase Topology, employing the Rules "Must Not Overlap" and "Must Not Have Gaps".

2. Run Symmetrical Difference (Analysis) geoprocessing tool:

ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2)
