I have completed a new Admin tool Add-in to help with the basic data entry for MapSAR. The Add-In is called Admin tool for MapSAR.

Once activated, the MapSAR Administration dialog window contains four tabs each one edits a table used in MapSAR.
The tab names are Incident, Reporting Party, Operation Period, and Team Members.

The Incident tab edits the Incident table (formerly the Incident feature class).
In this tab, you enter the Incident name, start and end dates, and general objectives. When you are done entering the information, click the Ok button. The Incident Name and General Objectives are required to be filled out.

The Reporting Party tab lets you enter reporting party information in the Reporting_Party table (formelly the RP feature class). Only the Reporting Name is required.

The Operation Period tab contains several sub-tabs to update the Operation_Period table. The Operation sub-tab is designed around having many operational periods during one search. The sub-tab is divided into two sections. The top part is the data entry section and the bottom part contains a grid showing the current contents of the Operation_Period table.

To add a record to the Operation fill in the boxes in the Operation, IC, Weather, Safety, Primary and Emergency Communications sub-tabs. Then click the Add button. Once this is done, the table at the bottom of the form will show new record. As the Operations continue new records will show. If you need to edit an existing record. Click on it and the contents will populate the appropriate text boxes. Make whatever changes you need, the click the Update button.

The Team Members tab is similar to the Operation Period tab. Enter the Team Member information at the top and the changes will be reflected in the table at the bottom. To make a change to a team member, click on the row and the information will show up at the top. I did create a button to delete a record, but it's not enabled. If the users think that this is usefull, I will enable it.

I have posted the an updated MXD, Add-In, and the updated database

If you have nay questions, let me know.

Hi Robert,

What version of ArcGIS did you use to create this mxd/add-in? I am getting an error saying that the MXD was created using a newer version of arcMap. I am attempting to open it with v. 10.0

Sorry, I do not check this forum as much as I should. Everything I write is for ArcGIS 10.1.
I hope the MapSAR 10.1 will be out soon. I know that Jon and Co. are working hard in getting it out.
