If you're starting an active SAR and using MapSAR, it might be a really good idea to immediately send a note to help@mapsar.net. It goes to Sierra Madre SAR (at the moment, though we should expand that...). That way, someone can be sure to monitor or even give you a cell phone contact if you run into problems or need advice.
In addition, if you have other resource needs (analysis, a GIS person) we can give advice or work to get someone to you.
