I'm using ArcGis Desktop 10.4
When editing an existing feature, I cannot drag to edit the vertices. I have all the permissions needed to be working on the layer, and I can translate the object's position on the layer, but I cannot actually drag-edit the points when editing the object.
I've attached a video of the issue.

Is the problem for that features class only or all data?
What about open new MXD and add this feature class again?
Or creating new database and load this data?
did you select the edit vertices tool in the last dialog that popped up?
Yes, but it doesn't seem to work.
You are working with your data locally I hope (ie on your computer and not on some network or usb drive)?
Often touted as the panacea for all <<< reboot >>> often fixes stuff
The data is actually on the department's SQL server. I rebooted and still cannot drag the vertices.
copy it to a local machine for testing, if you can't edit anything there, then it could be a permissions thing. That is why I asked where it resided
I've been able to create shapes in the DB before, and modify their attributes, so I do not believe it is a permission attribute. I am simply unable to select the vertex and drag it to modify the polygon.
I've made a local copy of the DB, and am editing the locally saved copy. Same issue occurs. I have rebooted the computer. youtube.com/watch?v=7PL7pVGbxBo |
Can you create any feature and save edit now?
I am able to create new features. I am also able to save-edit.
try reshape polygon
