In order to import an image as a layer data source, I need to use the “Local Server” concept to serve the image to a dynamic map service layer. My experience is that this service is quite slow when displaying the images on the map. It takes a while for it to calculate the image when changing the mapview extent, resulting in a not so good user experience. Is that something I just have to accept, or can I do something about it? Is there another way to import an image?
