How to set opacity on individual sublayers of FeatureCollectionlayer?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a design limitation.

If I go into the "Create a new Feature Collection Layer" sample, and add a double click event handler that decreases the opacity of just the first sublayer, the opacity of all sublayers decreases on the map (even though the other's Opacity value is unchanged).

I could confirm this behaviour, seems to be a bug.
