Simple question, tough to find an answer...
Lets say I set up a model, and I want to run it many times with different inputs (possibly in batch but for now lets just say running it once, over and over).
Lets say I will be clipping different layers to the geographic extent of California. I want to set the model up so that no matter what shapefile is input, the output default name will be INPUTNAME_Cal. I can set the filepath using a %Workspace% command. I basically want to name the output as %INPUTNAME%_Cal.shp. So if the input file name is Geology.shp, I want the model to automatically set the output name to Geology_Cal.shp
Anyone know how to do this?
