I need to clip a dataset of open space to a dataset representing suburbs (n=432), the outcome is to determine the area of open space in each suburb.
I have tried model builder and iterate with little success.
Mark...perhaps showing your efforts would lead to some suggestions.
were you getting errors? or was it not working to your satisfaction?
Thanks Dan
I will try and upload a screen grab of my model builder. I have watched numerous Utubes discussing the Iterate process but unable to replicate them for my project.
All I need to do is get my spatial boundary layer to run 431 times and to clip with the overlying open space layer.
Sounds simple enough but I'm totally in the dark.
This is were I started again but unable to get the SSC2016 to iterate through the 431 suburbs so I can clip it to the open space data.
I'm a novice with coding and this level of complexity. Might have to resort to doing a manual clip for each suburb, which in the long run might be quicker than fighting with model builder.
I think you only have Feature Classes inside the Geodatabase (No Feature Dataset). In this case, you just need to select the Geodatabase as your workspace (Do not double-click the database. Just single-click > Add).
