Hi All,
I would like to create a GP tool that allows me to select features from multiple layers via the Intersect tool (select by location I guess), where I interactively draw a polygon. Then I would like to be able to export the selected features into shapefiles based on their original layer; so the selected houses to a Houses shapefile, selected roads to a Roads shapefile etc.
So basically I want the Extract data Task (server tool), just instead of clipping/cutting the features out, I want to have the entire feature selected by the Intersect option and that exported.
Does it make sense? 🙂
I can't seem to get it working properly, when I try to use the Select layer by location tool in a model and combining it with a export tool.
Looking forward to some input.
