Hi everyone! 👋

I’m Manasa Tallapaka, a graduate student pursuing my Master’s in Artificial Intelligence at Saint Louis University. My passion lies at the intersection of AI, GIS, and remote sensing, where I leverage machine learning and geospatial analysis to drive sustainable urban planning while preserving agricultural lands.

My GIS Journey

  •  Volunteered at FOSS4G North America 2024 – Learned about open-source GIS software, geospatial databases, and spatial analysis tools.
  •  30-Day Map Challenge: Actively participating by creating maps related to land use, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability using QGIS. you can find my work in my Linkedin account
LiDAR & Remote Sensing: Completed NOAA’s Intro to LiDAR training, focusing on its applications in coastal management and terrain modeling.
  •  Esri MOOCs: Completed
  • 🌍 Spatial Data Science
  • 🚀 Going Places with Spatial Analysis
  • 🌱 Now Learning: Climate Change & GIS
  • GIS Workshops: Attended various hands-on workshops to deepen my understanding of geospatial analysis(QGIS) during my 1st year of my degree.

With a strong foundation in Python, R, SQL, QGIS, ArcGIS, and remote sensing, I am excited to explore AI-driven GIS applications in urban planning, sustainable  solutions, disaster management and connect with professionals who share the same passion.

I am also looking forward to guidance on how to serve as an assistant at the Esri User Conference in July and gain hands-on experience contributing to the GIS community.

Looking forward to networking and collaborating with the Esri Young Professionals Community! Let’s discuss how geospatial technologies are shaping a more sustainable future. 🌱:cityscape:️
