Hello everyone,

My name is Ezra Cheruiyot, and I am a BSc graduate in Geospatial Information Science and Remote Sensing from Kenya. I am passionate about GIS and remote sensing and continuously working to strengthen my skills through practical, real-world projects.

Recently, I have been supporting Safina Organization in mapping activities, contributing to spatial data collection and analysis. In addition, I have been working on personal projects focused on hydrological modelling, exploring how GIS and remote sensing can be applied to water resource management and environmental analysis.

I am particularly interested in advancing my knowledge in spatial analysis and solving real-world challenges using GIS tools and ArcGIS technologies.

I would greatly appreciate connecting with professionals and fellow learners in this community. I am open to guidance, collaboration, and any advice on improving my projects or growing my career in GIS and remote sensing.

Thank you, and I look forward to engaging with you all!

Best regards,
Ezra Cheruiyot

Great to see this, @Ezra 👏

You’re already doing the right things—real-world mapping + hydrological modeling is exactly where GIS has the greatest impact.

A few practical suggestions as you grow:

  • Focus on end-to-end workflows → data collection → processing → analysis → decision output
  • Build 2–3 strong portfolio projects (water risk, flood modeling, watershed analysis)
  • Combine GIS + data engineering basics (Python, APIs, automation)
  • Share your work consistently—maps, dashboards, short write-ups

Hydrology + GIS is a powerful niche, especially with climate and water challenges increasing globally.

Keep building. Keep sharing.
Happy to connect and support

Regards,
Venkat
