I am currently trying to build a mapbook and I created a custom grid that fits the area and the land ownership I want to display. I have the neighboring dynamic text along the edge of my map graphic. I need to add in township and range along the edge of the map graphic as well. I cant seem to figure out how to do this. I have a shapefile of the township and range and it is separate from the map index grid. Is there anyway to do this or do I need to merge the two shapfiles together?

I should also mention that I clipped the township and range layer I had originally to my map book grid so I wouldnt have the entire states data. I have a lot of data in this map so I'm trying to reduce the amount of non-needed data.

Finally got it working! Once I dug around the help page more I found out you have to turn the wizards off in order to use custom grids.

I have created the custom grid and am working on the label.  Did you have your township, township direction, range, and range direction in one field?  Or how did you label?
