Need help with ArcGIS Logical expression

Hi guys, I am taking a introductory GIS paper, I am currently learning some basics about attribute data...In my last lab, I was asked to create an attribute table and join it to an existing one using ArcMap.  I was also asked this question below:

For a data set that includes properties owned by Jones and other properties owned by Smith, write a logical expression to select all properties that have owners with the name Smith and with the name Jones.

Should the answer be name = 'Smith' and name = 'Jones' or name = 'Smith' and 'Jones' or something else? I am quite confused and my teacher has NOT been helpful. Could someone please help me with it?
