Hi I'm a beginner in ArcGIS. I need to make some layers using temperature datasets that show the temperature change in 10 minute intervals. I know I need to georeference the layer to be in the same coordinates system as the map.

The information of the dataset is from Matlab because I'm predicting the temperature for the next 3 hours (every 10 minutes). I have the results in 2 files (.mat and .xlsx). I have read that the raster is a map of bits but I'm not sure what is the best way to make the layers. If anyone can point me to some resources or has advice about the recomendded steps to follow or some tutorials about the subject I would be very grateful.

As long as you have latitude/longitude (x,y) data for each temperature, there are a couple of ways you can get started.

1.  You could add the x,y data as a layer

https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/10.3/map/working-with-layers/adding-x-y-coordinate-data-as-a-la...

2.  You could create a feature class directly from your temperature data

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/mapping/layer-properties/add-x-y-coordinate-data-as-a-layer.h...

If you do not have the x,y data in your temperature table, what geographic information do you have?

Hopefully, this will get you started in creating the layers; someone else will have to chime in on the time issue.
