We have a customer who has an oracle back-end for their data and we have a SQL back-end.
Our customer would like to temporarily join their tables to ours and then define their symbology based upon some attributes in our table. They do not want any of our data to go into their oracle system or become a field in the graphics. They simply want to base the symbology off of a table that is not used for generating graphics.
My background is using the API, not anything on the desktop side or of publishing, so pardon me if I am not mis-understanding or over-simplifying anything.
