Hey Community,

after the installation from ArcMap 10.3 the option export map to pdf does not work (properly) anymore. Even with the smallest test project the printed pdf document has missing text, labels, legend, .... Have you faced the same problems. Exporting to jpg, tiff, png works fine.

Merry Christmas

Lutz

Hi Silvia, you are responding to a  thread that is a year old. You may get more answers if you post your question as a new question in the Python space.

Although we could provide a complete script that exports your map, you may benefit more if you would learn a bit more about Python. You will need the mapping module:Introduction to arcpy.mapping—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

and this tutorial contains a section that shows how you can export a map to PDF: Getting started with arcpy.mapping tutorial—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

However, you may want to start with these topics:

What is Python?—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

What is the Python window?—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

What is ArcPy?—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop
