Data Driven Pages and Graphic Table elements in Arc 10.0

I have previously been using the PLTS Atlas extension to perform my batch mapping jobs.  While using the PLTS, I would add the layer being queried out by the PLTS as the data source for the graphic table element and select honor definition query and the table would only show the dynamic data for the one polygon on the map document. 

So now I'm trying to use DDP because the PLTS is always crashing.  I have created the ddp map list and have also created a second copy of the original layer to do a page definition query on to show the polygon for the selected ddp map.  The problem is I cannot get the graphic table element to show the dynamic data for the polygon on the selected ddp map, it shows all of the data in the layer, even with the the honor definition query selected for the data source.
