I don't know if anybody else agrees, but I think it would be nice to have all the threads from the old Land Records forum show up in this new Land Records group on GeoNet.  All of those threads were migrated to GeoNet under the Local sub-space of the Government place and tagged with "land_records". I don't even know if I'm using the right terms for places/spaces/groups etc.  Having all those threads dumped in the Government>Local bucket just doesn't seem like the right place, especially since this Land Records space exists.

Also, having all the old threads might encourage a little more activity here.  Crickets could be heard quite often in the old Land Record forum, but here, it's just dead.

Yes, I would agree that we need to look at what to do with the Land Records content. We are working on restructuring the Government spaces, and Land records are part of that discussion.

Supporting digital governance in West Bengal, the Banglarbhumi portal has made land record access more structured and user-friendly for citizens. It enables quick online checking of Khatian details, plot maps, and mutation status without requiring visits to government offices. This has reduced manual workload while improving accuracy and transparency in property-related data. Users benefit from faster processing and easier verification of land ownership information. Overall, it strengthens the efficiency of land administration through a centralized digital system.
