I'm confused. The area at the mid-atlantic ridge and other mid-ocean ridges is the darkest color. According to the key, the darker colors have the high higher crustal age. The mid-ocean ridges are where new rock is forming. Am I mistaken or is the key / map backwards?

Hello!

I am sorry for the delayed reply! You are not wrong. This fall, we encountered a bug that reversed the legend. We have corrected this issue, and the legend should now appear correctly.

Thanks!
