Hi,

I use Indigo and cannot install the ESRI plugin. It has a dependancy on maven. The actual message I get is

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software currently installed: Shared profile 1.0.0.1313515918857 (SharedProfile_epp.package.java 1.0.0.1313515918857)
Missing requirement: Shared profile 1.0.0.1313515918857 (SharedProfile_epp.package.java 1.0.0.1313515918857) requires 'org.maven.ide.eclipse [1.0.0.20110607-2117]' but it could not be found

I have googled this but not got very far. Do I have to use an older version of eclipse?

Okay I have now find that Helios is the latest eclipse supported. Are there any plans to go to indigo?

Thanks

Hi,
the Beta 1 Java SDK ought to have no dependency on Maven. We have several machines here that have successfully installed and used the Beta 1 SDK with Eclipse Indigo (and no dependency on Maven.) Now that you have an Eclipse Helios setup which allows the Java SDK to install; can I suggest that you try again with Indigo?
Thanks,
Gayle.

Hi,

I didn't make myself clear sorry. I can install the Java SDK its the eclipse plugin which provides some of the helper templates that causes the issue.

I am sure I will be able to use Indigo but cannot install the ESRI Eclipse Plugin. This is born out by the latest supported version of Eclipse is stated as Helios not Indigo.

Cheers
