In version 10.2.4 we were told and experienced personally that connections to SQL SDE made from a Linux client using the ESRI Java SDK were intentionally blocked because of a deal between Microsoft and ESRI. Has this been lifted in version 100? The oracle pricing change is very pertinent to this as everyone is looking to migrate away from oracle sde.
