Hello!

We are looking at adding a second GIS server. My goal is to have the best possible performance for our GIS team and to allow some editing from our users out in the field. It seems like the standard is to just add the new server to the site and move on. Is that what most people are doing with a 2-server scenario? I pictured using the new server for our 'main' GIS server that our GIS guys use, and the existing server will serve up the maps, etc. to the outside crews. Opinions/suggestions?

Thanks!

Tim

I've posted a similar question in another category, but can't seem to find it. I'm guessing it didn't actually get posted. If it did, I apologize for the duplication!

Hi Tim -- Good afternoon! I would highly recommend reviewing the "Architecting the ArcGIS Platform: Best Practices" white paper, available here: http://www.esri.com/~/media/files/pdfs/products/arcgis-platform/architecting-the-arcgis-platform

This documentation provides an excellent place to start along with implementation guidelines, etc....
