If you are a GIS user interested in monitoring agricultural fields, understanding natural hazards, changes in ice sheets or forest and wetlands... soon you will have access to free SAR analysis ready products to use in ArcGIS.

Analysis-ready datasets allow GIS users to leverage existing geoprocessing tools and raster analysis methods to work with SAR data.  NISAR will detect changes in the planet’s surface down to fractions of an inch. The satellite’s ability to “see” through clouds and light rain, day and night, will enable data users to continuously monitor Earth surface over time.

Check out this LinkedIn ARTICE to learn more.  It includes some additional resources including a tutorial of working with NISAR data in ArcGIS.

Thanks for sharing, Stephanie! And for those who might have missed it, since NISAR data started becoming available in late February 2026, there is an excellent tutorial (in story map format) from Heidi Kristenson from the Alaska Satellite Facility on importing NISAR data into ArcGIS Pro: https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/c8f85d20b73c48fd8e89f8eef49bc60b.

If you're interested in a workflow for getting to the point where you can view the NISAR data in ArcGIS Pro,  also see: https://github.com/BzGEO/Geo_AI_compendium/blob/main/misc/NISAR.md.
