Job Description Summary

Provide all Cushman & Wakefield professionals across the U.S. with a superior level of expertise in the area of GIS mapping and analysis as required and requested. Serve as quality control auditor to ensure accuracy of reports, data, maps and adherence to corporate standards. Provide mapping and/or market analysis for the purpose of enabling internal and external clientele to make sound real estate decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide GIS mapping and demographic reports to the company’s internal and external clients. Mapping types include but not limited to: geocoded maps (employee location, site location), demographics/thematic mapping, heat maps, traffic counts, radius and drive time analysis, working with aerials - retail tenant competition with logos maps and aerials
• Ability to import data, set up thematic maps, heat maps, dot density maps, retrieve latitude/longitudes and perform analysis within ArcGIS desktop using Business Analyst or other platform within Arc GIS
• Assist with conducting Trade Area analysis to include: ring analysis studies, drive time studies, and custom trade areas in order to identify relevant demographic trends, trade area statistics and map outputs
• Must have at least intermediate level knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS (desktop, extensions, online, applications) and excel.  ArcGIS 3D, Alteryx and CS5 a plus
• Assist clients with site selection/optimization strategies based upon directives and market opportunities
• Compile and distribute high-end output in the form of maps, reports, presentations, narratives, data summaries, etc
• Compile geographic data from a variety of sources to improve industry and market knowledge
• Consult with professionals and clients to determine appropriate map analysis technique
• Ability to create aesthetically pleasing presentation type maps
• Willing to learn new software
• Develop relationships with internal clients to better understand their business with the goal of advancing our mapping capabilities to meet their needs.  Work with the group to evaluate technologies that are not currently in use and expanding the existing use of technologies
• Assist in the training and support of the online demographic application
• Add to data library
• Manage and prioritize several projects and handle large workload
• Work in a team or without supervision
• Assists others in team with work overflow
• Perform specialized studies in regards to specific projects and goals
• Ability to think outside the box
• Educate and train C&W Service Line Professionals and Administrative Assistants on GIS Mapping and Demographics capabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of mapping-related experience required
• Computer proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS products. ESRI ArcGIS Desktop a must.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Computer proficiency in Adobe products specifically with editing PDF’s and working with Illustrator, InDesign and/or Photoshop as it pertains to creating maps
• Excellent writing, analytical, and verbal presentation skills are essential
• Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently and meet deadlines
• Extreme attention to detail
• Must have experience in a corporate type environment. Basic understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals a plus
• Ability to work independently on assigned projects
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to interact with both internal and external client
