Hello.
Wondering if anyone else has run into this problem.
I am running ArcGIS 10.6.1 on Windows 10.
Months ago I created a file geodatabase and imported various layers. Until a few days ago I have had no problems with editing and updating layers as required. Now, however, when I attempt to start an edit session on any layer in the gdb I receive the following error message:
"Warning: Check to see that you have the appropriate permissions"
The help files don't provide much insight. Using the windows explorer I have ensured that the gdb is not read-only. I am able to edit layers in other gdbs with no issues. I'm also able to edit stand alone shapefiles. I've tried copying and pasting the gdb, but have the same problem. I even upgraded from ArcGIS 10.6 to 10.6.1 in a vain attempt to fix the problem.
Am I missing something?
Thank you,
Peter
There may be orphaned lock files that are confusing the software. Try Compact—Help | ArcGIS Desktop .
