Hello everyone!
My name is Ella Fitzpatrick, and I'm excited to be an official member of Esri's Young Professionals Network! As a longtime resident of Redlands, California, I've known about Esri and the company's work for quite sometime. Growing up, Esri employees would often visit classrooms and share fascinating projects and use-cases for GIS. At that time, I remember thinking Maps? What could I possibly do with that?
It wasn't until I started college at the University of California, Riverside, that I truly understood the power and potential of GIS. As a public policy undergraduate, learning a complex mapping software was the last thing I expected to pursue, but it quickly became one of my biggest interests.
I recently earned my certificate in GIS and have worked on various projects related to public health and infrastructure. I'm also currently working at Esri as a summer intern in Industry Solutions. As I continue to learn and discover new career pathways, I'm excited to connect with people who share similar interests and grow my network within the geospatial community.
