I have a vendor neutral cert (we did everything in ArcGIS 9.x), but haven't used GIS since 2012. What would be a good curriculum choice from the free courses to brush up on using ArcGIS? I'm planning on getting the annual personal use software.

Better act fast; seems like I got an email saying a freebie class I'm enrolled in is about to shut down.....
If you're current on your maintenance or have purchased a qualifying product, then all web courses are now free. Please see the following URL for details: https://www.esri.com/training/#!/unlimited-esri-training/
And on that same site

I think is supposed to help you with a path to learn (I have not used it)
Esri MOOC - Massive Open Online Course are also free (but for ArcGIS Online mainly) and offer a few different courses at different times/dates....self-paced 4-week courses typically.
Part of this is from another thread that I just posted to that was looking for basic training....sorry, just cut-n-pasted, but it will give you some ideas...some free, some not....
For Python/ArcPy, I would look thru some of the thread that have suggestions. There are many choices.
Learning Python for beginner ?
ArcGIS 2: Essential Workflows (10.4) Class Resources (has links from that class)
The ...py... links Lots of resources, some may be more advanced.
To get a feel for GIS (esri)
Esri Video | Videos Covering GIS Events, Products, People, & Topics many topics from beginning to specific topics (free)
https://www.esri.com/training/#!/ (some free or low cost training options...also more in-depth options)
For low cost personal-use access to the software
ArcGIS for Personal Use Program | ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced for Personal Use
or you can usually get a ArcGIS Platform | Free Trial version to just test it out.
There are some free classes that us the ArcGIS Online as the platform that run about 4-weeks (called MOOCs)
Esri MOOC - Massive Open Online Course
These are just a few of the "learn-on-your-own" options....but don't count out a local school that may offer classes too.
FREE: (at least some of it) If you want to get into the more advanced, server or development side of things:
ArcGIS for Developers Includes the web APIs, link for free developer license, etc.
NOT FREE:
Hi Barnett, just as an FYI, an ArcGIS for Personal Use license includes unlimited access to self-paced e-Learning on the Training site. You might consider taking the Getting Started with ArcGIS Pro web course to dive back into the latest in ArcGIS.
Thank you all for the suggestions. I'm really hoping to leverage this into
a public health career.
Best of luck, Barnett!
