The Specialty certification exams were originally launched in 2019 and designed with an eligibility requirement stating that before registering for the exam, participants had to be currently certified with at version 10.3 or higher -- this requirement was removed during 2022. Exam development began in 2023 and all Specialty exams were updated and published as Associate Level exams in 2024.
This exam was created as a Specialty Exam and was designed for candidates who have at least one year of experience with ArcGIS Online. Specialty exams do not have a target audience role definition or provide test taker with enhanced score report.
