I am the Manager of Spatial Analytics on the Enterprise GIS Team for a conservation non-profit. We lean on Pipelines to bring data in from Snowflake.
When creating or overwriting a feature layer using ArcGIS Data Pipelines, there is a setting hidden in the "Additional Settings" that sets the default text field length to 4,000. This is not in keeping with our data standards, causes an increase in storage, and is an unnecessarily high number of characters.
Can we make this setting easier to find or change the default altogether (users forget to change it frequently)? Can this be a setting controlled by our organization's admins?
