When I make an XY Event into a new SDE feature class it automatically converts VARCHAR to NVARCHAR. Is there a setting I am missing to stop this from happening?
I have tried 'Copy Features' and 'Feature Class to Feature Class' and both do the same thing.
I am importing a table from a dev box into our SDE. As a table in dev, all of the fields are VARCHAR but when it becomes spatial it automatically converts to NVARCHAR. I then either manually change them back in SQL Server or run a script (depends on my mood).
Any ideas?
