Our company's server has been having some issues including a complete crash which has caused a lot of issues. We're back up and running, but one of my co-workers told me that she can no longer open a geodatabase that had been open and she had been editing in when the server went down. We're running 10.1 and the error we're getting is
Failed to connect to database. Underlying database error occurred. Unrecognized database format (Our Database's path and name.mdb)
Is there any way to fix this database? There's a couple of broken shapefiles as well but they can be easily recreated compared to this. Any suggestions are gladly welcome.
I hope you have a recent database backup, because it's likely you're going to need it. 😞
Are you able to connect to the SQL-Server instance through Microsoft tools? If SQL-Server can't see inside that datafile, there's no way that ArcGIS can.

I was afraid someone was going to say that. Nothing will open the file, not even the SQL. I guess we're going to have to have our IT guys start rolling the file back and hope that we didn't loose too many edits.
