I've been working for some time now on trying to georeference a bunch of autocad images of some villages. The CAD files are not referenced and have no metadata and so in order to get a good idea of the size of each village, I've had to find google earth shots of it, import and georeference those so I can align the CAD images over them. I'd like to be able to lay the CAD image over the georeferenced GE image and stretch it to fit it, which will then allow me to accurately georeference the CAD image. However, many of the CAD images will not resize using the Georeferencing Toolbar (the image simply relocates all over the dataframe, within changing in size and thus not allowing me to stretch it to match the GE image). Has anyone tried anything like this and had any luck?
I'd very much appreciate any thoughts or advice you have.
