Hello!  I have a batch server with a rapidly growing sdedc_Oracle.log -- two lines over and over:

ST_Geometry Schema Owner: (SDE) Type Release: 1007
Instance initialized for ((sde)) . . .

There is no ArcSDE service or SDE geodatabase on this server.  There are some custom Windows services, and those services do make direct connections to a geodatabase on another server, but they do not reference this file or its directory, and there are no connection/DBMS errors.

The log's increasing size is threatening disk space and I need move it to a different directory.  How can I figure out how/why this is happening?

Thanks!

We have the exact same issue, the log file can grow to several hundreds of megabytes, containing exactly the same thing.

We also occasionally get entries like this:

[Fri Aug 19 12:14:17 2016] [9001203] [hostname]    Describe SQL (DBMS)(get_column_defs)...

As far as I can tell there are no real errors in the log.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
