Not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, but here it goes.

I am wondering if you can identify features, such as crop rows, through quering a pattern on an aerial photo and have arcmap compare to other aerial photos? For example, if I had an aerial that identifies a 5 acre pond, is there a tool that would compare that pond and find similar features on an aerial photo? With this you could identify type of ground, such as furrowed crop land, forested land, developed land, well sites, etc. Basically you would have one pattern and arcmap would identify other areas that had a similar pattern?

Greetings,

Based on your description I would suggest peforming a supervised classification.  This should point you in the right direction.
