Hello!
I've been trying to use ArcMap 9.2 to export a topography raster to a netCDF file. But for every combination of options I've tried on the dialog box, the resulting netCDF file is big enough that it probably contains all the height data, but can't be read. Opening it in grads gives me
gadsdf: SDF file has no discernable X coordinate.
and opening it in Panoply gives me topo, x and y variables, all with --- in the "Type" column, where a working topo netCDF file I have shows [lat][lon].
Could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I can post a link to the file I'm using.
And while we're at it, is there a way to make it export in lat/lon instead of x/y? I suspect that my ignorance of this question may be related to my inability to get this working, but I've spent all day switching between experimenting and looking for some helpful documentation and have succeeded with neither, so please forgive a possibly stupid question.
Thank you!
