Hey All,
I have a huge DB of rasters and i would like to generate coverage vectors (shape files) out of them. Basically, the vector will only have one polyline outlining the extent of the coverage for the vector. What I want to do is generate all these coverage vectors and overlay them on a map (which will be probably be some type of webservice) so that people in my organization can look at the coverage and availability of raster data.
It would be cool if I can generate the same type of grids that show up when you're viewing a raster catalog that is made up of bunch tiles that are greater than the # set in the display setting (when "always show" is not selected).
Any insights on how to easily do this would be great!
