Hi,
Many of the CAD drawings I have do not appear to be drawn completely to scale, so when I georeference them using two control points in ArcMap, some of the drawings line up, but much of them do not. This makes it inconsistent when overlaying over satellite imagery, such as Bing Maps. Have had to create tiled satellite imagery which I then rubbersheet to fit the CAD drawings (not good, I know).
I was wondering if I exported the CAD drawings (*.dwg) to feature classes in a geodatabase, I could much more easily rubbersheet a feature class. My question is: if I rubbersheet say the line feature class, how do I make sure that the other feature classes in the geodatabase get transformed accordingly? Probably a very simple solution. Just haven't thought too deeply about it.
Thanks.
