Hey I'm relatively new to ArcGIS but the only real problem I have is that when I go to input a raster into a raster catalog.

When the program goes to input the raster, after about 3 seconds it gives me the following error:

-failed to convert "filename". problem generating output raster name ("filename") does not exist.

I was told that there was a possibility that the file name maybe more than 13 characters but after changing that there was no change in the error message.

Any help that can be offered would be great.

Hi,
How are you creating the raster? Is it command or script? If you can post that it would be helpful. Also ensure that all the required rasters are present and accessible.

Hey sorry for taking so long to respond, I found a temporary solution to this problem. It seems that it works when I use computers from other places but not in my office for some reason, but I can't keep using the other computers for all of this.

I take these aerial photos and I scan them using the office scanner and save them as .TIFFs. I do bring them into Gimp or Photoshop to edit the edges before bringing them into Arcmap but when I go to save them I make sure that they aren't compressed at all and remain as .TIFF files. Once it becomes time to put the rasters into the catalog the error comes in.

Here's one of the errors I get,
