Hallo,

i have to work with PDS Images from the Magellan mission to the Venus. I need the GTDR (Topographic) data.

I can't load it directly into ArcMap 10.1. So i took pds2world.exe and create an .aux data from the *.lbl of the pds Data. Than i can create a layer with ArcCatalog and than i can load the image into ArcMap. Picture is correct. My Problem is that ArcMap write "The following data sources you added are missing spatial reference information" and i didn't have the information about Latitude or Longitude. Also not, who many degrees or meters one Pixel is and so on. All the information which are stand in label data for the image are not in the .aux data and not in ArcMap.
How can I take this information with the image into ArcMap. Is it possible or have i to put the information manuell into ArcMap?
Can i put the information manuell into the .aux file?
Or is it the wrong way i work with this data? Anybody else work with them in the past and have some good advice:)

Thanks for your help
Samuel

PS: I forgot the Link to the data

Although it's a lot of data to download, there are ready-to-use-in-ArcMap packages available at PIGWAD, http://webgis.wr.usgs.gov/. See the August 8 entry: "Aug 8, New (v 1.8) Mars Global GIS Bundle (5.6GB) (link)". If you follow the link, there are complete and regional sets.
