I'm digitizing in a new gdb. The length is showing the wrong value. It's not in feet but is closer to meters, but is still wrong. When I use the measure tool it works fine. Can anyone help me with this?

Where are you seeing the incorrect length? Also, what coordinate system is your data in?

Yes, the value is wrong. Doesn't match in feet or meters.

Are you seeing an incorrect length in the attribute table, the measuring tool, or somewhere else?

Is your data frame also in USA_Contiguous_Albers_Equal_Area_Conic_USGS_version?

I was getting the wrong value while digitizing when I was trying to set the length of a polygon. I pulled several layers together in a blank Arcinfo session. I thought the coordinate system would be established by the first layer opened, which was the layer I was working on. Today I did the same thing and it's working fine.
